winner: Black Panther

The movie was thought provoking. It was
refreshing to see more Africans in main roles. There was a lot of different
cultures and traditions in the movie. It was a good blend of a story with
action and with a little knowledge on top.
The
movie had a very good message for people. It also showed the industry that not
only white people can make millions of dollars that black people can make the
same or more with a hit movie. Black Panther made seven hundred million dollars
in two weeks after its release compared to another similar movie, the Justice League
which made six hundred million dollars in a single month. So as you can see,
Black Panther made about 100 million more dollars in two weeks versus in one
month.
Our runner-up: Thor 3 : Ragnarok
*****stars
In our opinion, this was the best
of the sequels. A lot of action and humour blended in perfectly. It was well
written and produced. Hulk also surprised audiences with his ability to speak.
I think this Hulk is ready for a stand-alone movie, which would be very
interesting.
The movie has a deep meaning. It
makes me think about this because in the movie, Thor's dad says Asgard was
never a place, it was the people. To me that means that family and friends is
more important than anything in the world. My favourite part is when the Hulk
lost to Thor in a fight because the boss of the show shocked Thor to make sure
that he lost.
Our 3rd place pick: Jumanji
**** stars
It was a good spin off of the old
one. The cast was very funny and committed to their character’s role. They were
creative in reinventing the Jumanji board game for today. There were lots of
star actresses and actors such as Dwyane Johnson (The Rock).
They also made it from the old
board game to an actual video game and also made the people who are playing
actually be the character's in the video game. The movie had a good mix of
comedy and action.
